Aberdeenshire's Meldrum House Country Hotel has been acquired by a Scottish hospitality group based in Edinburgh, for an undisclosed amount.

Apex Hotels, known for its ownership of several four-star establishments across Scotland, takes over from Bob Edwards, and brothers David and Terry Buchan, who have overseen the hotel for the past 31 years.

Jordan Charles, the Managing Director, will retain his position and expresses confidence in the new owners' plans and aspirations.

The venue, boasting 51 luxury bedrooms, a golf course, and a staff of 150, underwent significant renovations in 2009 and 2016, earning accolades along the way.

Angela Vickers, CEO of Apex, commented: "After a strong trading period across our portfolio, the acquisition of Meldrum House represents an opportunity to continue to diversify. This is an exciting time for the company and after

getting to know the team at Meldrum House it was clear they share the same aims and ambitions we have at Apex."
